About the Role: This role is to support children who require individualised, creative and purposeful provision. It is a part‑time, fixed‑term (mornings only) position held from September 2026 until 31 August 2027 (in the first instance).
Key responsibilities:
- Support the learning of children working on individualised learning plans
- Plan fun, creative, playful and engaging activities
- Be reflective, flexible and work within a team in partnership with the SENCo, class teachers and other colleagues
- Dynamically risk‑assess and manage children’s safety
- Believe in outdoor education and make use of the school grounds and resources
- Follow the Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance learning
- Apply strategies that support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, visuals, structure and routine
- Support children with challenging needs and behaviour
- Establish positive relationships with parents and families
