The Assistant Facilities Manager will work proactively under the direction of the Facilities Manager to provide an effective site managing service to the school, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and security to the school to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for the pupils.
Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm & Friday: 8am – 3.30pm (The above hours include a 30-minute unpaid break). Paid weeks per year: 52 (inclusive of holiday entitlement). Start date: 17 August 2026.
About the Role: Our school is ‘Good’ (Ofsted 2023), being one of the most popular and successful 11-16 mixed comprehensive schools in the Preston Park area of Brighton, consistently over-subscribed. Our curriculum is broad and balanced and offers many exciting opportunities for all students, both in school and out. There are tremendous extra-curricular opportunities at Dorothy Stringer through sport, performing arts, the Junior Leadership Team, the Duke of Edinburgh award, as well as a number of other trips. In short, we believe there is something for everyone at the school.
