Job Description

We are recruiting a key Commercial Administration Officer to support the City Environmental Management Commercial Team. The successful candidate will manage business-as-usual tasks, oversee several large customer groups and contribute to project delivery.

  • Account management of 1000+ commercial customers with commercial contracts, including both internal and external accounts.
  • Garden waste customer oversight for 12,000+ customers, managed via a software system and generic email inbox.
  • Development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for various income streams.
  • Execution of legislative change updates and related service innovations.
  • Driving IT‑related cultural and behavioural change within the service.
  • Participation in innovation and best‑practice initiatives across all areas.
  • General inbox management and customer liaison support.
  • Handling complaint investigations and responses, including interactions with residents and members of the public.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated practical and software‑based organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple business functions.
  • Understanding of behavioural expectations for council‑run services.
  • Experience or knowledge in marketing strategies (advantage).
