About the role
Our Deputy Manager will be Deputise for the Practice Managers (Registered Managers) of Drove Road and will be responsible, for the overall management and quality of the Home, which provides respite care to children and young people with a range of disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours of challenge. You will work in partnership with the young people’s parents / carers, our local special schools, social workers and our health colleagues to ensure that the young people experience the best care.
Due to the complexity of the young people’s disabilities the work can be challenging at times, but also very rewarding.
Do you have the resilience to work with children who have behaviours that challenge or complex health needs?
You will be part of the Specialist Community Disability Service 0 – 24 working alongside social workers and social work resource officers to provide children with disabilities and their families the support that they need.
As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the home meets the standards and regulations of Ofsted and that the children and young people receive high-quality, person-centred care that meets their individual needs and preferences. You will be responsible for supervising staff and working in partnership with the Registered Managers to ensure the effective running of the home.
We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic and motivated to lead a team of staff who will provide excellent care and support to ensure that the children meet their full potential. You will also be expected to work on shift at times directly with the children when this is required.
