Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Crawley for an Engineer. The role involves maintaining and repairing the company's fleet of buses and coaches to ensure efficient and safe operations. Key responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical faults, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements. The Engineer will work closely with the operations team to minimize vehicle downtime and deliver reliable services to the community.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in vehicle maintenance and mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and technical issues
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the transportation industry
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Previous experience in fleet maintenance or similar roles is an advantage
- Formal qualifications in engineering, mechanics, or related fields are preferred
- Commitment to high standards of maintenance and safety in public transport services
