Brighton Hill Community School is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Lunchtime Dining Hall Assistant to join our friendly support staff team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and would like to play an important role in ensuring our students have a positive, safe and well-organised lunchtime experience.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Dining Hall Assistant, you will help supervise students during the busy lunch period, supporting the smooth operation of our dining facilities and promoting positive behaviour throughout the school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing dining areas before students arrive.
• Supervising students during lunchtime.
• Managing queues and helping maintain an orderly environment.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners.
• Supporting students where required and reporting any concerns.
• Ensuring dining spaces are left clean, tidy and ready for afternoon lessons.

A successful lunchtime period is vital in helping students return to lessons settled, refreshed and ready to learn. As part of our team, you will make a valuable contribution to the wellbeing and daily experience of our students.

Previous experience in a school environment is welcome but not essential, as full support and training will be provided.
