As a Meetings & Events (M&E) Executive you’ll be making all the difference to the business, so we want you to bring your dynamic personality to work with you every day. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! As part of a vibrant team you’ll be supporting a cluster of hotels to ensure that all M&E customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
If you’re our ideal M&E Executive, you will:
- Be yourself
- Produce timely and accurate proposals for all meeting & event enquiries
- Develop strong client relationships to increase enquiries and business opportunities
- Work closely with operational teams across your cluster of hotels to ensure we capture every detail
- Gather feedback from clients – we love repeat business
- Produce contracts, function sheets and issue invoices to customers
- Have a genuine passion for hospitality, sales and delivering first-class customer service.
Day-to-day:
- Respond professionally to telephone and email enquiries in a timely manner, according to our department methods and standards
- Ensure good diary management is implemented in-line with sales strategy
- Upsell to enquiries where possible (food & beverages, syndicate room, bedrooms, leisure facilities, etc.)
- Create and update bookings ensuring as much detail as possible is inputted
- Offer and conduct show rounds to prospective client enquiries to maximise our chance of winning the business
- Proactively follow-up on existing enquiries to drive booking conversion
- Prepare and issue proposals, contracts and invoices
- Ensure compliance with company standards and strive to achieve targets
- Obtain correct booking details from clients in writing. Ensure that all booking details are clearly communicated to clients and in-house departments; professionally and inside time deadlines
- Deal with all customer requests and queries promptly and effectively via emails, telephone or face-to-face
- Manage guest complaints in a friendly manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Conduct regular competitor checks to ensure you have a good understanding of our market and pricing strategy
- Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure we are all working towards the same goals
- Participate in training and be the best you can be in your role - there is a huge amount of training available to you if you want to build a career
