Brighton College is seekingto appoint an Electrical Supervisoron a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to: Deputy Head of Facilities Services (Maintenance) Main purpose of the role: To supervise and coordinate a team of electrical operatives to ensure the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, minor works, and compliance tasks. The Electrical Supervisor will ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, while also supporting the professional development of the team. Electrical Supervisor General Duties and Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership Lead and manage day-to-day operations of a team of electrical operatives. Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and high standards of workmanship. Carry out regular team briefings, toolbox talks, and performance reviews along with the Deputy Head of Facilities Services. Promote a positive team culture focused on health and safety, service delivery, and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, and asset lifecycle management. Operational Management Plan, schedule and oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM), responsive repairs, and minor works. Work with internal departments and external contractors within electrical specific areas. Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure accurate record-keeping for all completed jobs, inspections, and compliance checks. Health and Safety / Compliance Ensure all operatives work in compliance with statutory and internal Health
