The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Prep School Computer Science, Robotics and AI Specialist to join our fantastic team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Computer Science, Robotics and AI Specialist to teach pupils from Year 1 to Year 8, fostering creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving through coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a future-facing digital curriculum that emphasises the collaboration between humans and intelligent technologies, rather than AI in isolation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a cutting-edge programme that prepares pupils to use technology thoughtfully, ethically, and creatively. You will also contribute to curriculum development, run clubs and enrichment activities, and support the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and cross-curricular initiatives.
Who We Are Looking For
- A degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching computing and/or robotics at Key Stage 2 and/or Key Stage 3 level.
- A passion for teaching technology in a way that centres human creativity, collaboration, and responsibility.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- Experience teaching or developing AI-related content, particularly with an ethical or human-centred approach.
- Experience preparing pupils for senior school entrance exams and scholarships in computing or related subjects.
- Experience within an independent or preparatory school.
- Enthusiasm for enrichment activities, competitions, and the wider life of the school.
- Knowledge of platforms such as Scratch, Python, micro:bit, LEGO robotics, or similar.
