Location: Brighton, UK

Hours: Full time hours considered up to a maximum of 1.0 FTE/ 36.5 hours per week. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).

Grade: 6 starting at £34,610 to £38,784 per annum, pro rata if part time.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

About the role: Sussex Global Engagement is seeking a committed Senior Global Mobility Officer (Outbound) to administer the University’s outbound study abroad programmes in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand via our bilateral exchange agreements and ISEP exchange. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of global student mobility professionals, and collaborate with various academic and professional units to ensure alignment of these activities to our strategic and operational objectives.

About you: You will be a professional and highly organised individual, with degree or equivalent qualification, or significant professional experience, with a high level of IT ability and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work flexibly, including occasional travel. Your role will require you to show diplomacy and tact, and will have a commitment to providing a high quality student experience.

This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. The assigned SOC code is 2329 Other educational professionals not elsewhere classified and the going rate is £40,600. Eligibility for sponsorship will depend on the salary offered and whether a candidate can make use of tradeable points to meet the salary offered, and whether the candidate holds an existing Skilled Worker sponsorship which began before 4 April 2024. The University requires that work undertaken for the University is performed in the UK.
