We are inviting applications for the dual position of Anatomy Demonstrator and Resident Doctor (RD) from enthusiastic individuals who are keen to play an important role in our students’ development through guidance, support, and delivery of high-quality anatomical teaching and who want to get involved in research.

The Anatomy Demonstrator position at BSMS is linked to a Resident Doctor (RD) job at the local Montefiore or Nuffield Health Hospitals, Brighton. This role allows you to get involved in anatomy teaching and research whilst maintaining your clinical skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who wish to develop their anatomical knowledge as a basis for further career development. Typically, our current and previous Anatomy Demonstrators are those who are interested in surgery, radiology, and medical education but anybody is welcome to apply.

Hours: Full time - you will be required to take part in a 1:5 rotation as an RD at the hospital and sign up for teaching sessions at the medical school.

Duration: 12 months fixed term (can be extended to a further 12 months on mutual agreement). The job is a year-long post from August to August, in line with the junior doctor training year and University academic year.

Salary: To be confirmed with your hospital line manager.

Expected interview date: Interviews will be held on various dates to accommodate applications received at various times. The first set of interviews is planned for April. These will be held face-to-face at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. If you’re shortlisted, we will contact you with an interview date.
