This role is central to embedding a psychologically informed approach that enhances both player wellbeing and elite performance. Working closely with the coaching team, you will help cultivate a high-performance culture, influencing practice at a system, cultural, training, team and individual level. Alongside your direct impact on players, you will act as a strategic partner across the club, leading staff education, delivering wellbeing initiatives, and managing the academy psychology team.

About you

You must have proven experience delivering psychological and personal development support within a high-performance youth sports environment. As an experienced line manager, you thrive under pressure, lead teams with confidence, and are flexible to work outside standard hours during peak academy periods.

To be successful in this role, you must hold the following qualifications:

  • MSc in Sport Psychology or Psychology (or equivalent)
  • British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Status
  • British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or working towards (SEPAR)
