In this role, your primary focus will be supporting our UK team members (the headcount is approximately 70 right now), ensuring they feel valued and well-supported and are continuously developing their skills. You’ll play a key role in helping them envision and achieve tailored career progression, inspiring excitement and confidence in their future at BrightLocal.

Our mission is to enable marketers to be brilliant at Local SEO. We do this by providing a platform that empowers marketers to become Local SEO experts, which in turn has a positive impact on their businesses.

Our 15,000+ customers in multiple countries rely on us to help them manage, improve and report on local SEO performance to their clients and stakeholders. About The Team

Reporting to the Head of People Experience, you’ll be part of an established global People team. This is a perfect opportunity for the right individual to play a crucial role in supporting our company’s goal of becoming a high-performing winning team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. People Strategy: Working with the Head of People Experience to develop and execute a robust People Experience strategy that strengthens our culture across all our locations and enables every team member to feel fulfilled, appreciated and motivated to do the best work of their careers.
  2. Team Support: Support leaders and line managers (in the UK) with all people and team challenges, guiding them to ensure that we are both compliant with employment law and treating them with utmost care and concern.
  3. Performance management: Support line managers (in the UK) in adopting best-practice performance management, such as goal setting, personal development plans, regular 1-2-1 reviews, 360 feedback, regular team meetings, and formal reviews.
  4. Talent Development: Develop and deliver training programs and career development plans that ensure all team members grow and develop their hard and soft skills.
  5. Engagement and Culture: Own our team member surveys and drive initiatives that promote a positive work environment and enhance team member engagement.
  6. Data Analytics and Reporting: Lead our quarterly team member survey analysis and utilise our HRIS analytics to provide insights and recommendations to the team and other key HR metrics.

Experience And Skills Required

  1. People Partner Expertise: Proven experience managing the entire employee lifecycle for both employees and contractors whilst working closely with line managers.
  2. International Business Exposure: Familiarity with working in an international organisation and understanding cultural differences and nuances.
  3. Comprehensive HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations and demonstrable knowledge in HR areas such as employee relations, talent development, and performance management.
  4. Advisory Experience: Extensive experience providing guidance and support to managers and team members.
  5. HR Expertise: Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations and demonstrable knowledge in HR areas such as employee relations, talent development, and performance management.
  6. HR Experience: A strong understanding of the differences between Employees and Contractors, with practical experience addressing their unique needs and requirements while fostering an inclusive environment where all team members feel equally valued and part of the same team.
  7. HR Systems Proficiency: Experience with HR software and systems, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  8. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills, using data to inform and drive strategic decisions.
  9. Fast-Paced Environments: Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced settings and managing multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Start-Up or Scale-Up Experience: Background in working within start-up or scale-up businesses, accustomed to a hands-on, adaptable approach.

The Perks (The important details)

  1. Salary: Dependant on experience.
  2. Performance-based bonus: Up to 20% of base salary (10% company performance + 10% team performance).
  3. Hybrid Working: 2 days a week in our Brighton office for full-time team members, we are able to consider weekly working hours between 30 and 37.5 for this role.
  4. Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays + your birthday off!
  5. Duvet days: 3 duvet days per year.
  6. Healthcare: Vitality Healthcare.
  7. Learning & Development: £1000 per annum personal learning budget + other development opportunities.
