We're currently hiring a full-time Performance & Demand Generation Manager, but this will take time. To bridge the gap and accelerate progress against our MQL goals, we're looking for an experienced contractor to:
- Take over paid performance campaigns
- Deliver MQL growth
- Lay down scalable systems in Hubspot, including nurture workflows and lead gen infrastructure, that our permanent hire can pick up and run with.
This is a 3-6 month contract Hybrid/remote from our Brighton office.
Goals of this role
- Stabilise and improve our paid media performance
- Drive high-quality MQLs to meet growth targets
- Build foundational, scalable lead gen and lifecycle workflows
- Set up HubSpot-based infrastructure (including leveraging in-built AI tools) that drives long-term results
Key responsibilities
Short-term: Stabilise performance
- Audit and optimise paid campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, StackAdapt): Audit current paid media campaigns, recommend budget reallocations, and make improvements to increase MQL pipeline
- Optimise creative, targeting, bidding, and landing pages to reduce CPL and increase MQLs
- Set up or improve campaign-level reporting using HubSpot campaign tools and attribution models
Attribution & reporting
- Set up or enhance campaign tracking and funnel performance visibility using Hubspot dashboards
Build for scale: Set up growth infrastructure
- Lifecycle email nurture workflows
- Design and implement automated email journeys for new leads segmented by product interest, persona, or behaviour
- Apply Breeze Intelligence to surface and act on behavioural triggers, drop-off points, and optimisation opportunities
- Use HubSpot's AI-powered content assistant for rapid, high-quality copy production
Lead gen workflow automation
- Build automated lead capture → qualification → nurture → sales hand-off processes
- Ensure lead routing and enrichment are accurate and documented
- Integrate lead gen campaigns across webinars, content, and paid acquisition into Hubspot workflows
- Use Breeze Intelligence and predictive lead scoring to refine targeting and qualification
Lead scoring model setup
- Design and implement lead scoring models in Hubspot based on BrightLocal's ICPs.
- Use a combination of firmographics (e.g., company size, sector), engagement data (e.g., pageviews, email clicks), and intent signals to define scoring logic
- Leverage Hubspot AI and Breeze Intelligence to support model development and future refinement
- Align scoring with sales handoff thresholds and pipeline readiness
Conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
- Run A/B tests on landing pages and lead capture flows
- Optimise forms, CTAs, and smart content to drive more conversions from existing traffic
- Deploy personalised CTAs and smart content blocks based on lifecycle stage, persona, or lead score
Measurement & handover
- Build or enhance dashboards to track MQLs, CPL, ROI, and campaign performance
- Document all workflows, scoring models, and automation logic for smooth handover
- Provide a transition report and playbooks for the incoming full-time hire
What we're looking for
- B2B SaaS experience with strong results in demand generation and paid performance
- Experienced in running multiple paid ad campaigns in Google Ads, Meta, and StackAdapt with proven results of increasing MQLs and reducing CPC and CPL
- Managed successful ad campaigns targeting a US audience, preferred
- Experienced in service-related ad campaigns including targeting, positioning, and messaging is advantageous
- Expert-level Hubspot operational user, especially in:
- Breeze Intelligence
- Implementing lead scoring model (from scratch)
- Building and optimising lifecycle automation workflows
- AI-powered content/email generation
- Attribution and campaign reporting
