We are seeking an organised and proactive Legal Administrator to support our Investment Property team. This role is central to the smooth running of the department, with particular responsibility for client onboarding and post‑completion requirements, alongside wider administrative and team support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, able to manage their own workload efficiently, and have a strong eye for detail. They will also be flexible and willing to support the wider team with ad hoc tasks as needed in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the end‑to‑end onboarding process for all new matters within the Investment Property team.
- Requesting, collating, and reviewing client due diligence documentation in line with AML and regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with clients promptly and professionally to obtain outstanding information.
- Ensuring onboarding records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with firm procedures.
- Handling post‑completion formalities, including submissions, notifications, and registrations as required.
- Assisting with Land Registry and Companies House related tasks following completion.
- Monitoring post‑completion deadlines and ensuring matters are followed through to conclusion.
- Updating internal systems to reflect completed and post‑completed matters.
Administrative and Team Support
- Providing general administrative support to fee earners across the Investment Property team.
- Assisting with file management, document preparation, and correspondence.
- Supporting the team with ad hoc tasks as required, particularly during peak periods.
- Acting as a reliable point of support to ensure the team operates efficiently and deadlines are met.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience of client onboarding and AML processes.
- Familiarity with post‑completion tasks within residential or investment property matters.
- Prior experience supporting a busy legal team.
