Support Worker – Temporary Ongoing Location: Ongar, Essex Pay: £12.71 per hour Brighthire Recruitment is looking for experienced Support Workers to join our temporary team. We have ongoing work supporting adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people with complex needs. Flexible Hours Available Whether you are looking for a few shifts alongside another job or your studies, or regular full-time hours, we have opportunities to suit different availability. Part-time and full-time hours Day and night / sleep in shifts Flexible working around your availability Ongoing temporary assignmentsAbout the Role You will support adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people with complex needs to live as independently as possible. You will provide person-centred support based on each person's individual needs. Your role may include: Supporting people with daily routines and activities Promoting independence and supporting day-to-day tasks Providing personal care and assisting with manual handling where required Supporting people who may display behaviours that challenge Following care plans and keeping records up to date Working as part of a team to provide consistent support Building positive and respectful relationshipsWhat We Are Looking For At least six months of UK care experience Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic adults Experience or confidence supporting people who may display behaviours that challenge A calm, caring and reliable approach Good communication skills Must be aged 18 or over Must have the right to work in the UKAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred. If you do not have a suitable current DBS, we can discuss the process for obtaining a new one. Training and Support Training refreshers and updates can be supported where needed, depending on your existing training and the requirements of the service.
