Brighthire Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a leading waste and environmental services operation in Essex. This is an ongoing opportunity involving the transportation of Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo) containers between waste facilities and disposal sites across the county. You'll operate a Wag & Drag vehicle while supporting the smooth running of multiple operational sites.

Duties Include:

  • Driving a Class 1 Wag & Drag vehicle
  • Collecting, transporting and tipping RoRo containers
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Completing tachograph records and transport paperwork
  • Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in compliance with regulations
  • Working closely with site managers and operational teams
  • Assisting with container movements on-site when required
  • Following all health & safety procedures and site-specific rules

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Driver CPC Qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good understanding of driver regulations and transport legislation
  • Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends
