Brighthire Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a leading waste and environmental services operation in Essex. This is an ongoing opportunity involving the transportation of Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo) containers between waste facilities and disposal sites across the county. You'll operate a Wag & Drag vehicle while supporting the smooth running of multiple operational sites.
Duties Include:
- Driving a Class 1 Wag & Drag vehicle
- Collecting, transporting and tipping RoRo containers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Completing tachograph records and transport paperwork
- Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in compliance with regulations
- Working closely with site managers and operational teams
- Assisting with container movements on-site when required
- Following all health & safety procedures and site-specific rules
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver regulations and transport legislation
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends
