We are recruiting a Unit Lead. As Unit Lead you will work closely with the Home Manager, to manage the unit and lead your team to deliver excellent standards of care to residents and their families. As one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK it’s important to us to couple great care with meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

As a Unit Lead you will:

  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver special experiences to residents, which promote choice and independence to make a positive difference to their lives.
  • Ensure care plans are developed in collaboration with residents and their family and friends.
  • Ensure that care records are correctly maintained and updated in accordance with Group policy to enable correct staffing levels to be provided.
  • Ensure all elements of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge. For example psychological considerations, safe custody of property, pain management and dignity.
  • Regularly engage with, and seek feedback from, residents, relatives, visitors and colleagues in order to continually improve the residents’ quality of life and level of service provided.
  • In the absence of the Home Manager, assist in the overall management of the Home as required.
  • Under the supervision of the Home Manager, be responsible for the Unit staffing rota, ensuring staffing levels are safe and appropriate to residents' needs and dependency, with the correct skill mix.
  • Undertake root cause analysis of accidents and incidents, making recommendations based on results and outcomes.
