We're working with a fast-growing fitness brand that combines boxing and strength training with a genuinely community-led approach. This Graduate Management Trainee role isn't in your typical gym environment. The focus is on creating a brilliant member experience, building a loyal community and helping people make fitness a consistent part of their lives. Their Wembley studio is growing quickly and they're now looking for a Studio Manager who wants to take real ownership of that growth.
The role is much more than keeping the studio running smoothly. You'll have responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the business, from sales and member retention through to coaching, team performance and the overall studio experience. You'll work closely with the studio owner and wider management team, with plenty of visibility over how the business is performing and the freedom to make an impact.
You'll be responsible for:
- Running day-to-day studio operations, covering sales, coaching and member experience
- Owning key performance numbers including sales, conversion, retention and churn
- Leading the studio team, including weekly meetings and regular performance reporting
- Building a welcoming, energetic community that keeps members coming back
- Identifying opportunities to grow memberships and improve the studio experience
- Depending on your experience, coaching members and supporting their fitness journey
About you: You don't necessarily need years of management experience. What matters more is your attitude, energy and willingness to take ownership. You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys being around people and gets satisfaction from building a brilliant environment for both members and colleagues. You'll ideally be:
- Energetic, positive and comfortable taking responsibility
- Commercially minded, with an interest in sales and business performance
- A natural people person who enjoys building relationships and community
- Happy getting stuck into whatever needs doing rather than managing from the sidelines
- Interested in fitness, sport, health or wellness
- Humble, ambitious and keen to keep learning
Experience within fitness, hospitality, leisure, retail or another customer-focused environment could work particularly well. There's very little ego and everyone gets involved. The aim is to build more than somewhere people come to exercise. It's about creating a community that members genuinely want to be part of. For someone who loves fitness, people and the idea of helping grow a business, it's a great opportunity to make a studio your own.
