A fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturer of high-volume, high-precision, high-value components is seeking an experienced and driven UK General Manager to lead its flagship UK facility. Supplying into Medical Devices, eMobility, and Industrial Technologies, the business is on a steep growth trajectory, targeting revenues of over £45m by 2026.
The Role
- Full profit and loss (P&L) ownership of the UK site.
- Driving operational excellence across various departments, including manufacturing, supply chain, finance, toolroom, and EHSQ.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of around 225 employees in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment.
- Implementing strategies that focus on safety, customer satisfaction, EBITDA growth, and ESG responsibility.
- Transforming the site into a world-class manufacturing center of excellence.
- Partnering with Group leadership to shape and deliver long-term strategic goals.
What We're Looking For
- Over 10 years of proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Director, or Site MD within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- A demonstrable track record of P&L management and delivering operational improvements.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with the ability to be a team player and a decisive leader.
- Experience in high-volume, precision component manufacturing is highly desirable.
- A degree or higher qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing Systems.
- Excellent communication skills with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative, transparent style.
