Role Overview
As a Technical Architect, you will assess existing application and data architectures and define future-state solutions that are modular, resilient, and performance-driven. You will play a key role in shaping integration platforms, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet regulatory, operational, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess legacy application, integration, and data warehouse architectures
- Design target-state architectures, including modern .NET structures, containerized workloads, and scalable platforms
- Recommend modernization and cloud strategies across on-prem and cloud environments
- Define secure integration patterns using APIs and messaging technologies
- Establish and validate non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, and recovery objectives
- Create clear architecture documentation and diagrams to support delivery teams
- Work closely with developers, analysts, UX, and data teams to ensure aligned solutions
- Provide technical leadership, support DevOps and automation practices, and mentor engineering teams
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years experience in application and solution architecture
- Strong background in .NET/C#, SQL Server, and enterprise integration
- Proven experience modernizing monolithic systems into service-based or microservices architectures
- Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with messaging, APIs, observability, and testing practices
- Strong communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders
- Banking or financial services experience preferred; familiarity with BCBS239 or DORA is a plus
- Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure/AWS) desirable
