We are seeking a Lead Technical Architect to spearhead a 6-week Proof of Concept (PoC) aimed at modernising a legacy enterprise integration platform. This role will involve investigating and validating various migration and modernisation options for transitioning an existing Oracle WebLogic Java Integration architecture, currently operating on Oracle RAC, to a contemporary AWS-hosted solution. The primary goal is to minimise operational and security risks while enhancing system capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a time-boxed 6-week technical investigation and PoC.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the current legacy integration platform (WebLogic, Java Integration, Oracle RAC) to identify relationships and dependencies.
- Evaluate potential migration and modernisation options along with their associated risks and benefits.
- Develop prototypes to validate the recommended approaches effectively.
- Produce clear architectural outputs and recommendations for stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Proven experience as a Lead Technical Architect
- Strong background in integration architecture and platforms, particularly within cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience in designing integration solutions in AWS is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering PoCs, technical investigations, or discovery phases.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud security practices, resilience, and modernisation strategies.
- Proficient in cost and risk analysis utilising trade-off matrices to support justified decision-making.
- Active SC clearance is essential, or candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance.
