About Brightbox

Brightbox is a global provider of on-demand technology skills. We help organisations move faster, reduce delivery risk and operate more efficiently by connecting them with pre-vetted digital, data, cloud and AI specialists through our Liquid Workforce Operating Model. We are building on strong momentum, including 25% year on year growth and a recent brand refresh with a new website. As we invest in the next phase of the company’s growth, we are hiring a content-led marketer to build the inbound engine that takes us to the next level. It is an exciting time to join Brightbox and a real opportunity to make an impact for the right person.

About the role

We are looking for a content-led marketer with a commercial demand generation edge to help build an award-winning growth engine. This is a revenue-focused marketing role in a small team. You will create and convert demand, turning Brightbox’s point of view, expertise and client stories into pipeline, and running the end-to-end process that turns that interest into qualified sales opportunities. We want someone who takes ownership, ships consistently, and uses creativity, data and AI tools to be “in the market” engaging leads every day. The Head of Growth will support you on the strategy, ICP, positioning, messaging and our outbound motion. What we need now is someone to build the other half of the flywheel: the inbound, content and nurture engine that warms the market, keeps prospects engaged between buying windows and builds the Brightbox brand, and personal brands of key people at Brightbox. You will report to the Head of Growth and will work across the full marketing mix, combining inbound, outbound, content and messaging, to drive growth and deliver results.

What you will look after

  • Go-to-market through to pipeline and revenue: This includes refining our ICP, developing clear messaging and value proposition, and creating and executing campaigns.
  • Lead generation and nurturing: Build and grow a steady flow of high-quality leads, and design effective nurture journeys that convert interest into sales opportunities.
  • Ghostwriting and personal brands: Write LinkedIn content, articles and commentary in the voice of the CEO and selected subject-matter experts. Building these personal brands is a core lever of our growth plan.
  • Funnel performance: Improve how leads move through the funnel, increasing conversion rates and speeding up deals (velocity).
  • Campaigns that deliver results: Plan and run campaigns that generate leads, create opportunities and support revenue growth.
  • Content that delivers impact: Create and shape content that attracts the right audience and helps move them towards a decision. Key to this is using data and insights from our MarTech to develop and improve the performance of our content.
  • Sales alignment: Work closely with sales and the management team to make sure marketing supports deal creation, progression and win rates.
  • Channels and distribution: Own how we reach and engage our audience, testing and improving what works.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience leading demand generation, including lead generation and nurturing, in a B2B technology or SaaS business, or a professional services company.
  • Strong track record of delivering leads, opportunities and measurable revenue impact (we will ask you about these during the interview).
  • It’s a given but you need to be a thoughtful writer, who can produce different types of (original) content such as for the website, for emails and for social media, and this includes articles, papers, video scripts, personal branding etc.
  • Clear understanding of how to turn interest into sales opportunities through effective nurture and follow up.
  • Interest in using modern tools and technologies to improve performance, including AI, HubSpot (it’s our CRM), plus other marketing and sales tools.
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and an interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
  • Commercial, data led and focused on business outcomes.
  • Passion and a huge sense of curiosity, and a keenness to learn, to take risks.

What success looks like

  • Consistent growth in high quality leads and opportunities.
  • Strong lead nurturing with clear progression into pipeline.
  • Better conversion through the funnel and faster deal cycles.
  • Clear contribution of marketing to pipeline and revenue.
  • A repeatable, content-led approach to generating and nurturing demand.
  • Marketing seen as a key driver of growth.

Working arrangement

This is a remote first role. We are based in Manchester with team members across the Midlands and North of England. We meet in person occasionally (roughly once a month), in our Manchester office. We are looking for someone based in the Midlands or North of England who is happy to travel for these sessions.

Culture and perks

We work hard at staying connected and keeping a warm, friendly culture even though most of our days are spent at home. A few of the things we do:

  • Genuinely remote first - One day a month in Manchester for the team get together, the rest of the time you work from wherever suits you.
  • Quarterly team get togethers - A company update followed by a meal somewhere good - The Ivy, Piccolino’s and similar. Our monthly Manchester days usually include a team lunch out, too.
  • Christmas and big wins - This year’s Christmas party is a hospitality room at Pete Tong in Manchester. When we hit our annual growth target, the team goes away together.
  • The little things in the post - Our CEO likes to send things to people’s homes throughout the year - cheese and wine hampers, Easter treat boxes, that kind of thing. Small but they make remote feel less remote.
