Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior ESG Business Data Analyst to join our team in London, UK.
This is an exciting contract opportunity starting as soon as possible, with an initial duration of six months and a strong likelihood of extension.
This role requires a commitment to working on-site at the client's London office 3–5 days per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and managing ESG data.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and manage ESG data, ensuring accuracy and consistency within the organisation.
- Develop and produce Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process maps, data mappings, and business rules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to identify and address data governance and quality issues.
- Work closely with ESG data providers such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS ESG, S&P Global ESG, and CDP to ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and sustainability datasets.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of corporate tree/issuer hierarchy data.
- Liaise with asset management teams to integrate ESG considerations effectively.
Experience
- 8–10 years' experience as a Business Data Analyst, ESG Data Analyst, or Data Governance professional.
- Extensive background in Asset Management, Investment Management, or Financial Services.
- Hands-on experience with ESG data providers and familiarity with ESG/sustainability datasets.
- Proven track record of excellent stakeholder management skills.
- ESG certifications (e. g., CFA ESG, GARP SCR) are advantageous.
