Overview

Bright is building a best-in-class Finance function and this is a high-impact role at the heart of it. The FP&A Manager – Data & Business Intelligence will work closely with the VP of FP&A to lead the data strategy for Finance, own the monthly ARR snowball, build out the Power BI reporting layer, and shape the intelligence that informs Board, investor, and commercial decisions. This is an opportunity for a qualified finance professional with a passion for data and business intelligence to play a defining part in a rapidly growing PE-backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly ARR snowball from extraction to Board presentation; build and maintain Power BI dashboards across core SaaS KPIs; replace manual Excel reporting with a scalable self‑serve environment; maintain data integrity across NetSuite, HiBob, and HubSpot; lead Finance data governance including metric definitions and quality controls.
  • Lead the monthly FP&A close cycle, including variance analysis and Board commentary; support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with department heads; maintain the Group’s financial model and scenario outputs to support strategic decisions and investor readiness.
  • Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner to key departments, translating data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders; challenge assumptions constructively and add commercial value beyond the numbers.
  • Manage and develop FP&A and BI analysts, with a clear path to building a small team as the function scales; support the CFO and VP of FP&A on investor reporting, due diligence, and M&A workstreams; drive continuous improvement across Finance processes and tooling.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 4+ years of post‑qualification commercial finance experience in industry (FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering).
  • Proven expertise in Power BI: data modelling (DAX, Power Query/M), dashboard design, and deployment to business stakeholders.
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, with a focus on structure, auditability, and accuracy.
  • Experience owning or contributing to ARR snowball and SaaS metric production in a recurring‑revenue business.
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex analysis clearly to non‑finance audiences including C‑suite and investors.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a PE‑backed or high‑growth SaaS or technology business.
  • Familiarity with data platforms beyond Power BI (SQL, Python/pandas, Snowflake, dbt).
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing analysts.
  • Practical use of AI tools to improve finance workflows.

What We Offer

  • Competitive starting salary
  • Performance‑related bonus scheme
  • Health insurance and 5% matched pension contributions
  • Direct exposure to a PE‑backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage of growth
  • Access to cutting‑edge BI and AI tooling, with the autonomy to build the data layer properly
  • A forward‑thinking Finance team that values data, automation, and continuous improvement
