The Role
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you'll play a pivotal leadership role, shaping and executing Bright World's sales and marketing strategy across multiple markets. You'll oversee our sales teams in the UK and China, as well as our Digital & Social Media Manager, ensuring consistent brand messaging, growth in student recruitment, and effective digital communication. This is a strategic yet hands-on position – perfect for a results-driven leader with a passion for international education and a proven record in sales management, marketing strategy, and digital growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the UK and China sales teams to achieve international recruitment targets.
  • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy for growth in key international markets.
  • Manage relationships with education agents, UK boarding schools, and direct client families.
  • Oversee all digital marketing, social media, and content marketing activities.
  • Manage the company website, ensuring SEO optimisation and lead conversion.
  • Liaise with external SEO and digital advertising agencies to deliver effective campaigns.
  • Plan and manage the annual marketing and events budget.
  • Create branded sales and marketing materials and presentations using Canva.
  • Organise and attend education fairs, webinars, and international recruitment events.
  • Utilise HubSpot CRM to manage pipelines, track performance, and analyse sales data.
  • Serve on the Senior Management Team, contributing to business strategy and providing out-of-hours support as part of the duty manager rota.

About You
We're looking for an innovative and energetic leader who can combine strategic insight with operational excellence. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing management within the international education, guardianship, or student recruitment sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, ideally across multiple countries.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation.
  • Confidence using HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Office, and design tools such as Canva.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas and to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support.

Desirable:
Experience developing education agent networks and managing school partnerships. Understanding of SEO, Google Ads, and digital advertising metrics. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
