We are actively recruiting for a strong and experienced Nursery Area Manager in the South West London & Surrounding Areas to compliment our continued growth. This newly created role would suit someone who shares the same passion as us and is looking for an abundance of growth and personal progression.

We are Bright Stars Nursery Group, a network of over 100 premier nurseries across the United Kingdom. We are deeply committed to the idea that nurseries should be central to their communities and deliver exceptional outcomes for local children. To achieve this, each nursery maintains its own distinct identity and strong community connections, all while receiving support from a dedicated team of area managers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support settings in achieving high standards of care and education.
  • Provide ongoing support for managers.
  • Role modelling best practice for staff.
  • Manage the performance of nursery managers.
  • Ensure management are implementing all policies and procedures as required.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships.
  • Agree and review nursery targets and objectives with nursery managers.
  • Recruit and support the recruitment of teams.
  • Have a good knowledge of current documentation and legislation.
  • Overall management of Health and safety.
  • Understand the funding model for Local Authority and how to implement it.
  • Liaise with local councils regarding the processes and systems.
  • Develop new policies and procedures when necessary.
  • Develop and deliver training to management and teams.
  • Monitor the nurseries progress in reaching national priorities.
  • Lead managers meetings.
  • Monitor and promote equality.
  • Ensure managers are compliant with nurseries, Values and Aims.
  • Lead the nursery in their self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure managers are actively promoting the nurseries.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.
