We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Operations Manager to oversee a group of high-quality nursery settings across Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and people-focused professional to make a real impact supporting nursery managers, driving quality, and ensuring every child has the best start in life.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of multiple nurseries within the region. You will work closely with each setting to maintain excellence in care and education, ensure full compliance, and deliver on occupancy and financial targets. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a leadership environment and has a clear understanding of what 'Outstanding' looks like in the early years.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop Nursery Managers across the region
  • Ensure each setting consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted and EYFS standards
  • Monitor and drive occupancy, budget control, and staffing performance
  • Support recruitment, retention, and staff development across all sites
  • Deliver strong, effective communication with Head Office and Senior Leadership
  • Champion safeguarding, health and safety, and high-quality practice
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in each nursery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a multi-site management or senior leadership role within early years
  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or above (Level 5+ desirable)
  • Deep knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and operational best practices
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A positive, professional, and approachable attitude
  • Ability to travel between settings across Bristol and surrounding areas
