Bright Star Talent is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham, recently rated "Good" by Ofsted, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment. The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom.
- Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and support plans.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
