Bright Star Talent are currently working with a Good Ofsted-rated school in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, who are looking for a friendly and reliable School Administrator to join their team.
This is a busy school office, so the successful person will need to be organised, approachable and confident dealing with staff, parents, pupils and visitors on a daily basis.
The role would suit someone who has previous experience working in a school office, but we would also consider candidates with strong administration experience who understand the importance of working in a busy education environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the school office
- Answering calls and dealing with emails from parents, staff and external contacts
- Welcoming parents, visitors and pupils into school
- Supporting with pupil attendance and keeping records up to date
- Completing general administration and filing
- Preparing letters, documents and other school correspondence
- Updating school systems and databases
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff with administration
- Dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensuring confidential information is handled appropriately
- Helping the office run smoothly throughout the school day
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Organised and able to manage several tasks at once
- Confident speaking with parents, staff and visitors
- Comfortable using computers and school administration systems
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work well as part of a school team
- Previous school administration experience is preferred
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential
- Previous school or administration experience
- Right to work in the UK
