Bright Star Talent are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and thriving secondary school in Darwen, rated Good by Ofsted.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference to their school experience. With over 1,200 students, the school has a busy but supportive atmosphere and a strong team of staff who are committed to helping every student reach their potential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students in the classroom and helping them stay engaged with their learning.
  • Providing additional support to students who may need a little extra help.
  • Working alongside teachers and support staff to help students make progress.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting students both academically and personally throughout the school day.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people.
  • Is approachable, patient and confident.
  • Has a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Is reliable and comfortable working in a busy secondary school.
  • Can use their initiative while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Has a DBS registered on the Update Service.
