We are currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established, family-run drainage and civils business based in Wishaw. Cotterills has been operating for over 30 years and specialises in drainage, civils and environmental solutions, supplying customers across the UK. This is a part-time position for 1 day per week, working on-site alongside the existing team.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the business with its day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration, including:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and maintaining financial reports
- Supporting VAT returns and general finance administration
- Liaising with the wider team regarding invoices, payments and accounts
- Ensuring records are accurate and kept up to date
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
- Is confident working independently
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is organised and reliable
- Is comfortable using accounting software and Excel
- Can commit to 1 day per week on-site in Wishaw
