Bright Star Talent is currently recruiting qualified teachers across Birmingham to join our team for day-to-day supply and PPA cover within local primary schools. This is a great opportunity for teachers who want flexibility without the commitment of a full-time role. Whether you're looking for a couple of days each week, work around other commitments, or simply prefer the variety of supply teaching, we can offer work on an as-and-when basis to suit your availability.

As a Day-to-Day Supply / PPA Teacher, you may be required to:

  • Provide general classroom cover across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your experience.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning.
  • Provide PPA cover across different classes and year groups.
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and positively.
  • Follow individual school policies, routines and safeguarding procedures.
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher or school at the end of the day.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment for pupils.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school.
  • Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Confidence working across different year groups where required.
  • A reliable, professional and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's learning.
