About the role Bright Spark Electrical (Midlands) Ltd is looking for an experienced, time-served electrician to join our growing team.
We complete a large volume of domestic solar PV and EV charger installations , alongside electrical installation, maintenance and testing work across social-housing properties.
We are a friendly and fun company to work for, with a supportive team and a strong focus on maintaining excellent standards. This is a permanent Monday-to-Friday position offering a salary of £42,000, with additional earning opportunities through price work and overtime.
Responsibilities Electrical installation and maintenance within social housing
Domestic solar PV and battery-storage installations
Domestic and commercial EV charger installations
Consumer-unit replacements and upgrades
Electrical fault finding and remedial work
Inspection, testing and certification
Completing work safely and in accordance with BS 7671
Working professionally within occupied properties
Communicating respectfully with tenants and customers
Completing job records and certification accurately
Essential requirements Valid ECS/JIB Gold Card
Time-served electrical background
Proven experience working within social housing
Experience with domestic solar PV installations
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current regulations
Competent in inspection, testing and certification
High standard of workmanship
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Professional attitude and good customer-service skills
Experience with EV charger installations and battery-storage systems would be advantageous.
