One of Bromley’s premier, bespoke, independent and highly professional general building contractors is eagerly looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman who possesses a solid background in skilled carpentry, or general building. The role is offered on an ongoing basis – Monday to Friday (8-hour days). It will suit an experienced, self-employed, and organised Skilled Tradesperson / General Builder who enjoys building extensions but does not want the stress associated with running their own business. This company has established a reputation as a high quality, reliable family run business within the high-end quality build market.
About the Working Foreman Role
YOU are leading from the front. Setting a high expectation for producing quality workmanship, and efficiencies through effective communication is what sets you apart from everyone else. Co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.
Key Responsibilities and ‘must haves’:
- Own van and full set of tools required to carry out your work
- Lead by example to others on site
- Working with the Director to ensure completion of works are on time and within budget
- Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of site operatives
- Share and pass on knowledge to others
- Track and document daily work productions
- Equipment and materials management – liaising with the director
- Co-ordinate delivery/pick up of materials as required
Key measures & targets: Delivery of snag free projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key relationships will need to be built with: Skilled Trades, Site Operatives, AND the customer.
