We are proud to be assisting an expanding London based property surveying company in their search for a confident, tech-savvy individual to train as a 3D Property Surveyor. If you ARE passionate about property, keen to work with cutting-edge technology, you’ll be developing your skills as a Trainee 3D Property Surveyor. This is a rare opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the move, working both indoors and outdoors, whilst taking pride in delivering high-quality results.
About the role
This exciting opportunity means that you will often be working outside in all weather conditions. You will be carefully setting up and operating hi-tech 3D scanning equipment to successfully complete vital 3-dimensional surveys of a vast range of properties and structures – externally and internally. You will be learning new surveying skills whilst engaging in ‘on the job’ training and this exciting opportunity is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. All the technical training you will need will be provided! This is also a remote position where you will be able to travel to site from home, and there may be the occasional overnight stay required. The core hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
About You
We are seeking a self-motivated perfectionist who is open and willing to learn and grow, whilst happy to go that extra mile when required. This is NOT a job for the faint hearted, as you will be required to set up scanning equipment in loft / cellar spaces, when it’s cold and wet outside, or on days when it’s so hot that all you want to do is go and sit in a fridge!
The professional and personal qualities we are seeking include:
* A genuine interest in property and technology
* A good educational standard in a technical / financial discipline (Degree / HND / BTEC level 3 – or similar) is preferred
* Possess your own reliable vehicle for travel between jobs (mileage allowance provided)
* Previous experience gained (and an enthusiasm) working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Demonstrable evidence of previous participation in an appropriate personal development activity – such as Duke of Edinburgh Awards, The Scout Movement, Armed Forces Cadets – or similar
* Physically able to carry heavy scanning equipment (up to 15kg) and navigate stairs and uneven terrain
* Do you prefer to be 20 minutes early, rather than being 1 minute late?
* Amazing written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated with an eye for detail
Key Responsibilities
* Work on site – conducting measured house surveys, using 3D laser scanning equipment
* Careful setup and dismantling of all equipment and conduct regular instrument checks
* Uploading and processing of all collected survey data to a laptop device
* Conduct routine maintenance, regular and thorough cleaning of the equipment is vital!
* Undertake and actively participate in training and development sessions to quickly aid your professional development
* Follow and observe all Health & Safety protocols whilst on site, and traveling to and from site
* Be prepared to travel to customer sites around the UK. Overnight stays may occasionally be required
What’s in it for you?
* A rare and exciting opportunity to train and develop as a 3D Property Surveyor
* The opportunity to work for a highly knowledgeable and supportive team
* A fantastic opportunity for professional growth within an expanding company
No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds who are eager to learn and develop these new and exciting skills
