We are assisting a highly respected and expanding, family run business based in the Bromley (Kent) area in their search for a Sales Support Advisor. The Sales Support Advisor is a new and exciting opportunity requiring a person with a sound knowledge of all types of floor coverings. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Sales Manager, where you will be liaising with potential customers, discussing and exploring quotes and estimates to ensure the best possible outcome for each potential project. The Sales Support Advisor is being offered on a full time, permanent basis with office hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The key responsibilities include:
- Pricing jobs from the measurement and materials lists
- Liaising with potential customers to qualify and agree estimates
- Advise customers on best quality products and finishes to suit their requirements
- Booking and scheduling appointments
- Taking payments and deposits
- Updating the in-house CRM and job planning app
Required experience and professional attributes:
- Experience gained as a carpet fitter / floor layer (or from within the carpet / floor covering industry in general)
- Possess an excellent knowledge of carpets and floor coverings
- Sales, or customer service experience
- Excellent IT literacy and numeracy skills (emails, databases, typing quotes)
- A working knowledge of Masterpiece, Carmen (or similar) would be a distinct advantage
- Possess proven negotiating and objection handling skills
- Possess amazing people skills – face to face, and over the phone
