How would you like to be working for a well-established and respected business which provides professional courier and logistics services to businesses based on the south side of the River Thames? Based just off the Old Kent Road in South East London, this highly regarded courier service provider is seeking an experienced, professional and diligent multi-drop driver to support day to day driving assignments. This is a business-to-business courier operation, not domestic.
Working directly with the Operations Manager, driver team, and the Managing Director this is a great opportunity to join a successful, growing and friendly business and take the next step on your career journey.
Role responsibilities and purpose:
- To support the day to day driving assignments, covering planned and unplanned absences
- Supporting business growth / development to include occasional client liaison
- To assist in the recruitment and training of new driving staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
- To communicate with the depot team and develop excellent working relationships with clients
- To deputise for the Operations Manager as and when required
Experience required:
- At least 2 years’ experience of performing multi drop deliveries service around urban areas
- Experience of driving Mercedes Sprinter, Renault Master, Fiat Ducato (or similar vehicle)
- A full UK (Manual) driving licence (max 6-points permitted)
- Be over 25 years of age - for insurance purposes
- A current DBS certificate (or be happy to undertake a DBS check)
- Good admin, telephone and IT skills
Working hours are Monday to Friday (45-hour week) - Overtime paid after 45 hours.
