Bright Side Recruitment Ltd is absolutely thrilled to be assisting one of Southeast London’s most highly respected, family-run Safety Systems Installation companies in their search for a skilled technician to join their team. Granted, it’s a small company, but their quality is second to none! The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, 08.30 to 17.30 - Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilitiesAs a Security Systems Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of a variety of security systems across the Greater London region. These include fire alarms, gate automation, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control for residential and commercial premises. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Installation of fire alarm, gate automation, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control systems
- Service and maintenance of existing systems
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
- Ensuring that projects run smoothly through servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Monitoring systems for irregular behaviour and set up preventive measures
- Ability to demonstrate systems to customers, and conduct user training
- Good attention to detail to ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed, and procedures are followed within the allotted timescales
- A minimum of two years of experience in security systems, or electrical installation
- Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to measure voltage and current drain
- The confidence to learn new skills and to retain information
- The ability to read and interpret schematical drawings
- Computer literacy
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in industry standards and regulations, including Health & Safety protocols
- Organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency on job sites
- Physical capability to lift objects and navigate ladders for work at heights
- A full and valid UK Driving Licence
