I am assisting an expanding and highly regarded Gardening & Grounds Maintenance business based near Bromley (BR2) in their search for an experienced Gardener who possesses a full UK driving licence. This opportunity is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) - and you will be covering Bromley and the surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, undertaking all aspects of gardening and ground maintenance duties whilst delivering flawless customer service.
Gardener Responsibilities:- Maintaining the appearance of the grounds, including mowing, weeding, pruning, and watering
- Planting new trees, shrubs, flowers, and maintaining existing landscape features
- Applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed, following safety protocols
- Clearing and disposing of plant waste
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools
- Keeping pathways and outdoor areas clear of debris
- Valid driver's licence (Cat B) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Gardener, or as a Grounds Maintenance person gained in a residential, public space, or a commercial setting
- Previous experience in gardening or grounds maintenance essential
- Ability to operate gardening equipment safely
- A good geographical knowledge of the Bromley, Bexley and Croydon boroughs
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- PA1 / PA6 tickets (ideally)
- Hold a current (or be willing to undertake) a basic DBS check
- Competitive day rate commensurate with experience
- Use of a company van
