We are seeking a dedicated and versatile person to join our cleaning and construction team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of manual tasks across different projects, supporting skilled trades and ensuring the smooth progress of ongoing works. This role requires the person to have transferable skills in building work, including but not limited to extension work, able to read drawings, work with inspectors, and carry out internal and external work.
Duties
- Assisting with carpentry, roofing, masonry, and general construction activities
- Supporting plumbing, electrical, and fabrication tasks as required
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Preparing sites by clearing debris and organising materials
- Assisting with the installation of fixtures and fittings
- Moving materials and equipment around the site
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with their specialised tasks
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related trades is advantageous
