We are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Deputy Home Manager for a large nursing and residential care home in the Surbiton area. Working alongside an experienced Home Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth and success of a beautiful care home that is committed to delivering outstanding care and exceptional resident experiences.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference within an established service, leading clinical excellence, developing teams, and helping to drive quality standards across the home.
The Role
Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the home while maintaining a visible and hands-on leadership presence across the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the operational management of the home
- Providing clinical leadership and oversight of clinical governance
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the nursing team
- Undertaking resident assessments and care reviews
- Promoting best practice and driving continuous improvement
- Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care at all times
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a nursing home setting
- Active NMC registration (PIN)
- Strong clinical leadership and people management skills
- Experience working with electronic care planning systems
- A genuine passion for supporting older people and delivering exceptional care
- Comprehensive knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Experience working within Good or Outstanding-rated care homes
- The drive and ambition to achieve the highest standards of care
- Experience within a self-funding care home environment
