We are recruiting for a Regional Manager opportunity with a growing, independent and values-led care group operating a small portfolio of residential and dementia homes across Devon. This is a hands-on, operational leadership role within a family-orientated organisation with a strong focus on quality, people and sustainable improvement.
The Role
As Regional Manager, you will oversee a small portfolio of mid-sized residential and dementia homes, working closely with Home Managers to maintain high standards of care, develop leadership capability and drive consistent performance across the portfolio. This is not a corporate, desk-based role. You will be visible, supportive and practical, leading through coaching rather than control, and helping managers navigate the real-world pressures of care home operations. You will also play a key role in supporting wider business projects, including refurbishments and new home developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and quality leadership across a portfolio of care homes
- Support, coach and develop Home Managers to strengthen performance and retention
- Drive quality, compliance and CQC readiness across all services
- Monitor and support KPIs including quality, occupancy, staffing and financial performance
- Lead and support improvement projects, refurbishments and service developments
- Act as a trusted, values-led leader within a growing organisation
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in residential elderly care
- Current or recent Area / Regional Manager, or an experienced multi-site leader
- NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of CQC, care home operations and frontline pressures
- Supportive, coaching leadership style
- Motivated by quality and people
