We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team of a luxury care home in the Broomfield area. This is a rare opportunity to bring your creativity and flair to a premium dining environment, delivering beautifully presented desserts and baked goods that bring joy to residents every day.
The Role
As Pastry Chef, you will take the lead on all aspects of dessert and baked goods preparation. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure a high standard of presentation and taste, with attention to nutritional needs and dietary adaptations. You'll also have the opportunity to develop seasonal and celebratory menu items that enrich the resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and present a range of desserts and baked goods
- Create both traditional and innovative menu options for daily dining and special occasions
- Adapt recipes to suit specific dietary requirements (e.g. diabetic-friendly, texture-modified)
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team
Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a pastry chef or baker in a hotel, restaurant, or high-end care environment
- Skilled in decoration, presentation, and recipe development
- Passionate about food and the difference it can make in people's lives
- Able to manage time effectively and work to a consistent high standard
Hours & Benefits
