We are recruiting for an experienced General Manager to join a premium elderly care provider in the Exeter area. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead of a modern care home with excellent facilities, a supportive senior leadership team and a genuine focus on resident experience. The provider is looking for a people-focused leader who can build strong relationships, create a positive culture and work collaboratively with both the home team and wider organisation. This role would suit someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing others and creating an environment where residents and colleagues can thrive.
The Role
As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, team engagement and occupancy performance. You will be supported by an established team and a hands-on senior leadership group who are committed to helping the home achieve its full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced Home Manager / General Manager within elderly care
- Experience managing larger care homes (55+ beds preferred)
- Strong people leadership and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware with an understanding of occupancy and business performance
- Experience within a premium or luxury care environment would be advantageous
- Able to balance quality care with operational performance
- Open, collaborative and adaptable leadership style
