An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Dementia Care Manager to join a growing care provider at their newest home in Fleet.

The Dementia Care Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the home's residential dementia community, ensuring the delivery of outstanding, and truly person‐centred care. This is a highly visible leadership role combining hands‐on care, team management and operational oversight.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, standards and success of the dementia community from the ground up, creating an environment where residents feel safe, understood and able to live well every day.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day‐to‐day operation of the dementia community, ensuring care is delivered in line with best practice and CQC standards
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor resident wellbeing, responding proactively to changes in need
  • Support, coach and develop the care team to deliver high‐quality, consistent care
  • Manage staffing levels, rota planning and skill mix to meet resident needs
  • Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement, working towards 'Outstanding' outcomes
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with families and external professionals
  • Work closely with senior leadership on service development, resources and budget awareness
  • Promote engaging, dementia‐focused activities in collaboration with the lifestyles team
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong, current and hands‐on experience within dementia care
  • Proven leadership experience in a residential care setting
  • The ability to lead, inspire and develop a team in a newly opened care home environment
  • Flexibility to support the needs of the home, including alternate weekend working
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Contract

Approximately 38‐40 hours per week (flexibility available), c£34,000pa (£17/hr). Working either 4 or 5 days per week to include alternate weekends.
