An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative, passionate and highly organised Activities and Events Lead to join a newly open luxury care home near Fleet in Hampshire. This is a key role where you will head up and lead the activities and events provision within the home ensuring everyone living in the home is included, engaged and supported through tailored activities and experiences. Working as part of a whole-home approach, activity and wellbeing will be embedded into everyday life, in close collaboration with care, hospitality and wider teams. You will play a central role in shaping the culture of the home, creating meaningful experiences that promote joy, purpose and connection for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating a vibrant activity and events programme that supports residents' physical, emotional and social needs
- Managing budgets and resources effectively
- Designing and delivering a varied calendar of meaningful events, activities and personalised experiences
- Assessing residents' individual social and wellbeing needs on admission and developing bespoke activity programmes
- Working collaboratively across departments to ensure wellbeing is central to daily life
- Creating a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued, respected and connected
- Managing and developing a small team of co-ordinators
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of event and activity planning
- Previous experience as an event and wellbeing or activities lead within a care or similar setting
- Experience supporting residents living with dementia
- Confident in budget management and planning
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A creative, enthusiastic and compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to enhance quality of life
Contract and benefits
- Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Flexible working pattern, Monday to Sunday, with some weekend working
- Opportunity to be part of a brand-new home and help shape its culture from the ground up
