CPCS Appointed Person Blue Card is essential.
An established lifting and specialist-access business is looking for an experienced Appointed Person/Lifting Supervisor to join its operation in Scotland.
This is a practical, site-based positionnot a purely office-based lift-planning role. You will survey sites, plan lifting operations and supervise work across Scotland and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.
You will produce clear site sketches and lifting information, which will be converted into CAD drawings by the companys back-office team.
The role will include:
- Planning and managing a variety of lifting operations
- Conducting site surveys and producing detailed sketches
- Preparing lift plans and ensuring operations comply with current legislation
- Identifying risks and ensuring work areas are prepared safely
- Supervising and instructing site teams
- Ensuring lifting equipment, accessories and tools are used correctly
- Resolving site issues and escalating concerns when necessary
- Using digital systems to document lifting operations
- Assisting with lifting supervision, slinger/signaller duties, MEWP supervision, traffic management and deliveries when required
- Travelling to sites across Scotland and occasionally elsewhere in the UK
Essential requirements:
- CPCS Appointed Person Blue Card
- Practical experience planning and supervising lifting operations
- Strong knowledge of lifting regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to conduct site surveys and produce accurate sketches
- Confident communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, site-based position
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel when required
Lift Supervisor and Slinger/Signaller qualifications would be highly advantageous.

- £46,000 basic salary
