This is a manufacturing position based permanently on a single factory site and the client is only looking to interview those candidates who have the same UK experience based in Wigan.
Salary: £52,000 – £54,000 DOE + overtime
Hours: Monday–Friday, 4-shift rotation (8–4 / 6–2 / 10–6 / 2–10)
Location: Static manufacturing site – no travel
Holidays: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
The Role:
Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer working in manufacturing and looking for stability, progression, and work-life balance? This is a rare chance to join a secure site-based team where you’ll work Monday to Friday only (no weekends), earn up to £54k, and have all further training paid for.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out electrical fault-finding, breakdown response, and repairs across plant and machinery
- Perform planned and predictive maintenance
- Support projects, installs, and continuous improvement work
- Work with PLCs (Siemens / Allen Bradley), VSDs, and other control systems
- Always maintain high safety and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance (or time-served apprenticeship)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
- Strong skills in electrical fault finding, PLC interrogation, and PPM
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
What You’ll Get:
- Up to £54,000 + overtime

Please note: Only applicants with direct manufacturing maintenance experience will be considered. Construction and self-employed electricians are not eligible.
