Senior Electrical Contracts Manager Wanted – Major Commercial Renewables Projects
Following the award of a significant new commercial renewables contract, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to join a rapidly expanding business delivering large-scale commercial renewable energy projects throughout the UK. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager looking to work on high-value commercial Solar PV and renewable energy projects within a business enjoying exceptional growth.
You will be responsible for managing projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will take ownership of multiple electrical contracts and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing commercial Solar PV and renewable energy projects from award through to handover
- Managing electrical subcontractors, labour and specialist supply chain partners
- Overseeing HV/LV electrical installations
- Managing DNO applications, G99/G98 connections and grid interface requirements
- Managing project programmes, budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Ensuring full compliance with BS7671, CDM Regulations and all Health & Safety legislation
- Leading commissioning and testing activities
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and statutory bodies
- Producing regular commercial and project progress reports
- Mentoring and supporting junior Contracts Managers and site teams
Essential Requirements
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or Degree)
- ECS or CSCS Gold Card
- SMSTS
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial electrical contracts
- Strong understanding of BS7671
- Experience managing DNO connections and G99/G98 applications
- NEC and/or JCT contract experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
